Privacy Policy

1. The short version

We collect what's needed to run your account and tailor your research: your login details, your rep profile, and the companies you research. We don't sell your personal data. We never see your card number. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

2. What we collect

Account information. Your email address, name, and password (handled securely by the Base44 platform — we never see the password itself).

Your rep profile. Who you work for, what you sell, your territory or patch, and your preferred company size and qualifying criteria. You choose what to enter, and you can edit or clear it at any time.

Your watchlist and reports. The companies you look up, the research generated for them, your notes, your outreach edits, follow-up dates, and activity history.

Usage information. How many reports you've used, so we can enforce plan limits and warn you before you run out.

3. What we don't collect

Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe (on our website) or Apple (in the iPhone app) — they never touch our systems, and we can't see or store your card number. We also don't collect data from third-party CRMs, email accounts, or calendars; exports like the CRM summary are plain text you copy yourself.

4. How we use your data

Your rep profile and watchlist are used to tailor reports, prospect suggestions, and outreach drafts to your patch and what you sell. Account and usage data keep your plan, limits, and security working. We also use it to answer support requests and send transactional email — a welcome message, receipts, password resets, and a low-credit warning before your reports run out. No marketing lists, no selling data, no sharing your watchlist with anyone.

5. Research uses public information only

Company reports draw exclusively on information that is publicly available — company websites, public listings, job postings, and similar sources. We don't buy or load private contact databases, and reports flag what couldn't be verified rather than guessing.

6. Who else is involved

Prospectr runs on the Base44 platform, which hosts the app and its database. Payments are processed by Stripe on our website and by Apple in the iPhone app. These providers operate under their own privacy terms, and each handles only what it needs to deliver its part of the service.

Analytics and advertising measurement. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website, and, on our website only (never inside the iPhone app), the Meta Pixel to measure whether our ads lead to sign-ups. These tools may set cookies and receive information such as pages visited and whether you signed up or started a purchase. To match a sign-up or purchase to our ads, we also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address, which can't be read back into the original. We don't send them your reports, watchlist, notes or contacts. You can opt out using your browser's tracking protection or ad settings, or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active so the app keeps working for you. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data through the Contact page, we will remove your profile, watchlist, and reports. We may keep minimal billing records where required for accounting or tax purposes.

8. Your choices

Edit or clear your rep profile at any time from the profile screen. Delete companies from your watchlist whenever you like. You can request a copy of your data, a correction, or full deletion through the Contact page.

9. Who this is for

Prospectr is a business tool intended for adults. Don't use it if you are under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
